What
if Christians in Health Care actually believed that Following
Jesus meant going where he went and serving as he served? Imagine
these Christians serving among the poor and forming a movement
to change the face and focus of health care in poor communities.
Picture them sharing their stories, forming friendships, worshipping
as one, exchanging expertise, and fanning the flame in an ever-widening
circle. Wouldn't you want to make sure this movement didn't pass
you by?
You
can join Christian Community Health Fellowship. Whether you already
serve in health care in a poor community, think this is a direction
God might be leading you, or wish to be supportive of health care
among the poor, you can find a place to belong in CCHF.
Our
vision is to proclaim and uphold God's mandate to bring health
and wholeness among both the poor and communities in need. Stretch
your vision. Practice your convictions. Move with us-Join
CCHF.

Member
Benefits
Publications:
When you become a member of CCHF, you begin receiving our quarterly
journal, Health and Development/Apprentice. In Health and Development
(H&D), you'll find personal reflections, opinion papers, examples
of Best Practices, and book reviews, written by people in the
field. The Apprentice offers similar articles, with a focus on
students. Other publications include Caring for the Least of These
and Upholding the Vision.
Conferences:
Members receive discounts on registration at our annual conference.
At conferences, you can attend high-quality plenary sessions,
workshops, meet colleagues and pioneers in the movement, enter
into diverse styles of worship, even relax and enjoy a few days
away from the "daily grind." CCHF also sponsors a track
in Christian Community Development Association's annual conference
and the Louisville Medical Missions Conference.
Technical
Assistance: Members can support and participate in CCHF's effort
to connect newly developing ministries with veterans in the field
and help interested health ministries improve their current efforts.
Through the Best Practices Program, CCHF has been identifying,
documenting, and helping to replicate exemplary faith-based health
care programs in poor communities. Our new student summer program
will provide students who will conduct faith-health research-and
eventually site-specific studies-- to interested health centers.
