Student Member Benefits
It's one thing to have a vision to serve among the poor; it's
quite another to sustain that vision throughout your education.
CCHF encourages and points students to the "road less traveled"
of health care among the poor. Sign up for one year of free membership
and
· Connect with other students who share the same vision
and those already working in the field who can give you direction
and advice.
· Receive our quarterly publication of the Apprentice,
created for students in health care and the allied professions.
· Receive information on relevant information and upcoming
events.
· Receive help in order to participate in preceptorships
with Christian ministries or health professionals serving in secular
settings.
· Benefit from Bible studies that serve to encourage and
focus the growing student.
Preceptorship
Directory On-Line
One of CCHF's long-standing activities is helping to link students
and residents to meaningful preceptorship experiences. The Preceptorship
Directory is designed for students in health care and allied professions
who are interested in doing a preceptorship with a Christian health
care professional who is serving among the poor. This provides
hands-on experience in working as a member of a team of health
professionals and others whose goal is to provide quality, wholistic
care.
Speaker's Bureau
for Student Groups
The Speaker's Bureau is a database of healthcare professionals
across the nation willing to speak to student groups in their
area. All of these speakers are willing to share their own experiences
of serving the poor through healthcare. This is a service to our
student members who may also be leaders of a Bible study or student
group. If you are interested in a particular speaker, contact
the person directly and set up a time for him or her to come out
and speak to your student group.
Bible Studies
The Bible Study Series is meant to be a resource to our student
members. You can use them for individual study or for a group.
They are great to get you thinking about the role you play as
God's servant and as a seeker of justice for God's people. More
Bible studies will continue to be added in the future.
