Building on Dr. Nicholas Woltersdorf’s description of shalom as reconciliation with God, self, others and the environment, we will examine the richness it offers in the healthcare professions. Beth and Greg Delaney provide a simple but helpful look at the SCIENCE behind addiction. They Introduce the importance of Connection/Belonging for recovery, the importance of collaborative networks of care and community engagement, and identify faith's role in the continuum of care for SUD. They will give insight as to faith's role and opportunities in prevention, intervention and recovery supports.
Casey Clardy. Many care team members (including PCPs) find themselves ill-equipped, under-trained, and unsure of how to best identify, treat, and manage behavioral health concerns within the fast-paced nature of primary care. This session is geared toward educating and equipping multidisciplinary care team members without specialized behavioral health training to effectively deliver brief interventions and adopt practical treatment strategies.

Cute Lee.This course will address the component of spiritual health and how to effectively administer skills to address spirituality in the primary care setting. Instilling hope is a major component for growth in therapy; spirituality is a key vehicle for that hope.
