How did you become involved with CCHF?
In October 1996, the Lord called me into an evangelistic ministry. At the time, I was not clear about that calling or what direction I should take. Over the next two years, the Lord clarified that calling to serve Him through a health care ministry to the poor. At the time, I was completing a one-year postgraduate fellowship and was in the process of returning home to Memphis. Upon returning the Lord convicted me of the need to pursue this calling through a mission conference at church. Of course I didn't have a clue as to what I should do other than search the internet for "health care ministries for the poor". What happened next...? I found a link for CCHF. I must say I was overjoyed with excitement! I reviewed the site and the listing of organizational members. I even reviewed the job opportunities and contacted a health care clinic in Wichita, KS to inquire about an Administrator position that was available. I was elated as this began my initial search to serve in a health care ministry among the poor.
