Angel Gates; Oral health is an integral part of total body health. This session will discuss how to successfully transform one’s thinking to incorporate oral health education into the patient’s medical visit and into community health initiatives. This will be achieved by assisting non-medical staff with understanding the mouth/body connection, as well as, identifying the oral health determinants to optimal health. Attendees will leave confident in discussing oral health concerns, as well as initiating the appropriate oral health referrals for patients.
